Family Literacy Day, January 27th - WIN PRIZES!

Take a Learning Journey....ABC Life Literacy Canada, the Warner County Literacy Program and the Raymond Public LIbrary invite all Canadians to take a learning journey for FAmily LIteracy Day 2012.

How can YOU get involved????

1. Pick up a Journey to Learning Passport from the Raymond Public Library.
2. Complete and check off at least 5 activities on your passport in the weeks leading up to January 27th.
3. Register your passport at http://www.familyliteracy/ Day.ca for a chance to WIN one of three national prize packages.
4. Return your completed passport to the Raymond Public Library for a chance to WIN our local family prize.

Family Literacy Day Colouring Contest
You can pick up applications for the second annual Family Literacy Day Colouring Contest at the Raymond Public Library. Have your child colour the picture and answer the questionson the application, then mail it to the address on the form and you will have a chance to WIN a prize package.

We Remember Them

Recently a local couple visited many of the Canadian War memorial sites in France. This videoconference will be a slide show presentation with commentary about their trip and experiences. This talk will give an overview of the memorials and some insights into organizing a similar journey.
I think this will be something we can remember after we see it! Lets make this Remebrance Day a extra special one.
