One of my goals for this holiday season was to read some Christmas stories by Charles Dickens. I read "Cricket on the Hearth" and totally enjoyed it. Of course, sometimes Dickens can be a little hard to read because the old wording he employs is not too easy to read. But once you get into the story it is really enjoyable.
It only took me an afteroon to read. Only three chapters in total. If you have read the story please let us know what you think.
If you don't have access to the book, you can read this story online by going to www.classicauthors.net and then clicking on Charles Dickens to see all the books.

I have to recommend "A Christmas Carol" to anyone who has never actually READ it, it's not long either.
A few years ago I also read "Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol" by Tom Mula, which is actually a play, but worth a read.
