I just finished the book last night and still have the images of the story in my head. Although the illustrations in the book are all black and white, for some reason they are full of colour when I remember them. I guess I could say it is a very colourful story then! I loved that there were so many sequential illustrations in certain parts. It's an entertaining story and I can't wait to see the movie.

Finished!! What a wonderful book! I read the book in 2 hours, but definitely took my time with the pictures. I can't wait to watch the movie!! I'm adding this to our "Read Out Loud" to the kids list.

I really enjoyed listening to this book on cd, although I missed the pictures. I must say my favourite part was when Hugo spoke about how it made him sad when machines and other things couldn't do what they were suppose to and were broken. He likened it to people and this really struck me. The full quote sounds much better! I'm so happy I "read" the book!!!
