read Calico Joe! LOVED it! I was the stats girl all through high school for the baseball team and it's one sport I definitely miss here in Canada. Calico Joe brought it all back. As I was reading I was right there in the stadium, smelling the hotdogs and popcorn. Sigh. I miss baseball! And this is for sure one of JG's better books. Well done!!

Bulu: African Wonder Dog was surprisingly good. I guess I didn't expect much from a true story about a dog, but it turned out to be an exciting read. The adventures that this couple had living in the wild in Africa were scary! And their dog Bulu was such a sweet, courageous character showing love to all the orphaned wildlife and a good example to humans. I loved it!
